  • Base metal of specially alloyed Solid Steel which can resist damages due to impacts while Dissembling & Assembling for machine fitting / maintenance, Cone holder impacts, friction etc.
  • Very Hard, Wear Resistant, Self Lubricating, Corrosion resistant Plasma Nitrided Surface Treatment to suite the highly abrasive Jute Yarn.
  • Variable Tensioning Groove profile features to avoid Ribboning and Patterning even in absence of Anti-Patterning system.
  • The weight of Package is very high in Jute industry which leads to repeated loosening of Grub Screw in conventional drums and possible damage to drums and eventually Bearings, Machine and Yarn.
  • Equipped with Special and improved Non ferrous Bush & Socket type fitment – proven in the Jute Industry since decades, Improved & Specially designed to take up the very high upto 10Kgs of Package weight in Jute industry where conventional Grub Screw fitment fails due to repeated loosening of grub screws leading to damage in drums and eventually in Bearings, Machine and Yarn
  • Universal Drum suitable for Coarse as well as Fine Count Jute Yarns
  • Flutted Diameter / Slot on diameter (Optional) value addition for  Winding very high Coarse Thick yarns
  • Dynamically balanced to arrest vibrations, avoid stiches and entanglement in packages, increase life of bearings and shafts. Avoid drum loosening
  • Available with option of Outer Diameter 90mm and 76mm and option of 10 inch Traverse and 260mm Traverse as per Mill requirement with standard 3.5 Uniform Turns in Solid Nitrided Steel Drums with Non-ferrous Bush & Long Socket type fitment

Jute Drum Surface Treatment Features

  • Surface Hardness 650 HV to 750 HV
  • Very high glossy Surface Finish of 0.6 RA
  • No-foreign material is deposited. Hard surface is an integral part of the drum, nitrided surface layers of mono-phase structure are hard, ductile and do not flake off
  • Nitriding is a diffusion OR intermetalllic surface treatment so chipping, flaking OR Peeling off is not possible, while it may happen in chrome plating and nickel plating
  • Self-lubricating surface as result of less, friction, ability of surface to retain lubricant forever
  • Surface smoothness remains virtually unaffected
  • Resistance to atmospheric corrosion fretting corrosion and cavitation erosion
  • No possibility of hard case flaking off
  • Excellent resistance to both abrasive and adhesive wear
